1 - 'Now then' is a Yorkshire way of saying 'hello'.
2 - 'mint' in this case is a slang word for 'great', 'cool' or 'awesome'.
3 - 'dunno' is a very common shortening of 'don't know'.
4 - 'kinda' is a very common shortening of 'kind of'.
5 - 'in't it?' - the 's' in the word 'isn't' is commonly left out.
6 - Herberts on a night - Herberts is not a common term, but in this case we believe he is implying they are intolerant people. But if any of you have a more specific definition of the term then feel free to comment below!
'On a night' is a northern phrase for 'in the evening' or 'at night time'.
7 - 'rough' in this case means 'aggressive'.
8 - 'cotton wool wrapped' - this phrase implies that people are very heavily protected from anything which may be dangerous or 'different' - in other words, contact with the 'real world' is restricted.
9 - U.K. Subs is one of the first English punk rock bands.
10 - 'Grim' in this case means 'depressing' or 'gloomy'.
11 - 'Cracking' means 'great' or 'brilliant'.
